hey sm. here is a pic of a Java finch/Java sparrow/Java rice finch. I think their common name is derived from their place of origin, but they can be found in other parts of Indonesia today--and there are at least two in Guam.

Wow, what a cool-looking bird! I like the bright blue and distinct black and white markings on its head.

Little birds are so sweet. All the finches around here appear to be brown with black markings.
